"It’s not so much the journey that’s important; as is the way that we treat those we encounter and those around us, along the way”--Jeremy Aldana

This quote made me think about how you affect everyone you talk to. Always be conscious of what you say to others because you don't know how it might affect them.

The video in the virus of cyber bullying was very powerful. People take their insecurities out on others to make themselves feel better. They are unaware of the affect they have on those people, or they don't care. The pink shirt day is a good idea to raise awareness of the affects cyber bullying has on our peers.

The one person I respect the most is my dad. He has always believed in working hard for what you want. He has taught me to always respect people the way I'd like to be respected. My dad is very successful in his job because he gets his work done with great efficiency and he always stays committed. I respect my dad the most because he is never disrespected me or others and that is the most important thing you can do.

In the story about the goblins and the old man, the lesson of the golden rule is shown. Treat others how you want to be treated. The goblins pick on the old man until a great wizard casts a spell that bounces their insults back at them, making them old and ugly, but heals the man with every insult. The moral of this story is that if you treat others with disrespect, you unknowingly change yourself and you grow mean and bitter. When the wizard casts his spell to make the goblins' insults bounce back, they do not realize the affect it is having because they are too wrapped up in disrespecting the old man. Meanwhile, every insult thrown callously at the poor man makes him healthier and younger. This shows that if you do not let people walk all over you, and not let their insults affect you, you grow stronger and they become weak.
